Tavern "Stella" 7114847b

At the end of the East side of the town, settled on the most lively road in the town, was the tavern "Stella". It's name comes from latin and means 'star'. The building is not really big. It is on two floors and has two sides which are separated with small tunnel. There is a large lantern above the tunnel which lights the area infront of the tavern.

Inside the tavern is really cosy and neat. There are two tables in the middle. In the left side there are stairs which leads to the second floor. The bar, which is not really big, is placed right next to the stairs. Left from the bar there is a special place where usually a small ensemble of people play music and entertain the guests of the tavern. The place is decorated in Medieval style.

The clamber and clatter of the tavern was more than enough to bring him to silence. The table beneath him creaked as he brought up his elbow to lean against. The pasty white flesh pressing his cheek taunt. He blinked, feeling the stretch so he opted to bring his hand down and around his mug. And then up and over his mouth. The burn of alcohol running through his throat and into his stomach. Slowly turning into a pleasurable burn that he had missed.

He sneered at the thought. Why did he abstain from drinking in the first place? A server whisked by. Wondering aloud about the state of his drink. He shook his head in reply and she left him wondering in his foggy imagination. "To...hide...?" He narrowed his eyes, squinting at ancient lines of wood. Tracing them with his eyes, and then with hardened hands. "Beasts were never meant to leave the soil... He murmured as he leaned lazily on the side of his arm. "Can't even hold your own alcohol, Tarot? What a fool you've turned into. Looking to drink for relief."

He squeezed his eyes shut and groaned before sliding out of his seat. Regretting not finishing his drink, but remembering that he would feel even worse the next morning. His eyes searched the tavern for a friendly face, before he found support in his seat. Nothing. Indira. Gone. His sister. Gone. Who else was there...?

Kenji walked into the bar and instantly felt the presence of another werewolf. Not from the moonclan so he must be a loner, Kenji didnt say anything plus he too use to also be a loner and those were some of the funniest days of his life. He just sat down and ordered a glass of wine. Kenji needed something that would take his mind off of what was going on at home. He had overheard his mother and father talking about how they should tell him that he wasnt really their son but was adopted, and that he could not become the next alpha due to him not being related by blood so therefore he was not a proper heir. His birth mother was a loner, his parents, or should he just call them alpha pair, had no idea that he had heard them. Kenji didnt feel like talking about his feelings he just wanted to drown them and never let them resurface again.

OOC: Not swinging for the other team, are we, Tarot? The drunk nut.

The werewolf may have been dreaming. His saliva was thick on his tongue. Eyes narrowed to squint at a foggy room. Dancing jigs jolting his head. The deep thrum of blood pumping into his skull and body.

But...Darkened eyes of green. Well, they were familiar weren't they? Green... A rare color amongst humans and mutts alike. He watched as a tensed male sauntered into the room. His own mind too lost to notice why. But he'd calmly ordered a glass of wine. He snorted. "Some pompous ass with Indira's eyes." As if that fae would have even touched alcohol. And if she did, he'd think she'd like a light white wine, or a hearty beer. He could never tell with the healer. But then again, maybe she would have avoided it completely in favor of her health. Everyone felt like shit after drinking. Why would it be good for you?

But the loner had looked past that and treasured the dull buzz. Now, though, the face was shifting. Safety. He shuffled over to the young man, woman, haze and leaned against the chair next to him. "What are you...?" He muttered. His sense of caution thrown to the wind, and his sense of smell dulled by metal brine. As if he could tell it was a werewolf. But Indira was somewhere in that thing. Even if he had to fight to bring her out.

Kenji had just ordered his second glass of red wine, and was thoroughly enjoying it until the loner he had spotted and smelled when he first entered the tavern came over and leaned against the chair next to him. This guy smelled heavily of alcohol so no doubt his sense of smell was dulled. Especially when he asked Kenji what he was. Kenji sighed, he was glad that he decided not to drink so much that it dulled his senses. Nonetheless Kenji turned his head to the loner and stared at him with his green eyes, why was this loner staring at him weird like he knew something he didnt. during his time as a loner Kenji really didnt know if he had met this guy before since his time with Jake was a little fuzzy. He decided to answer the guy, "This really isnt the place to be talking about such things but just know that I am like you. I am the predator and not the prey. By the way my name is Kenji." He wanted him to know he was a werewolf but saying the words out loud he knew he would possibly attract unwanted attention. He hoped the loner would understand what he was talking about.

OOC: Sorry for the wait, been out of it.

Tarot sniffed. Everything was getting thicker. Maybe that's why he couldn't smell. It was an overload of information. Heightened sensations. What a headache.

It was pain in the ass. Whatever's the world wished to call this insufferable feeling. Pointless vendettas and an angry crowd. That was what Aslad Village was at this point. A smudged point of angry people who'd do anything to get rid of pests like him. And the same story would be relayed. Over, and over, and over again.

Just like this conversation.

With a faraway look, he'd burst his own bubble. But this haze was beginning to be more than just a a time to relax. It was a hinderance in his usual speaking tendencies. Whatever's those were. What was normal? Drunk Tarot wasn't normal. Hell, even regular Tarot wasn't normal. Too many secrets to keep, to hide. Makes it hard to bare yourself to the world. And who would want to do that? And this guy was just spouting nonsense about places not being good enough. Just like how regular Tarot wasn't really good enough either.

"Things...? You're beginning to sound like...like a fortune teller who knows things I don't. Haha! ...What a fearsome thought! Someone who knows more than me..." He trailed off, sliding the old wooden chair back. Flinching at the harsh squeak of wood against more wood. Great mixture really.

He slid onto leather and propped up his chin to stare into those green eyes as Indi— whatever it was, spoke. He didn't have dignity and he wasn't self-conscious. He'd stare all night if anyone would have let him.

"Like me, huh?" He went silent, the light in his eyes dimming and fading. Pools of dark left behind. "You don't look drunk. Stupid small towners..." He added, his speech beginning to slur, turning into harsh mumbles, filled to the brim with air. "Predator...Starting to sound all the more foolish, Kenji." He finished, his name clicked into the air like he didn't believe him. Sarcasm, wasn't that regular Tarot? Who knows? A drunk man didn't.

"Where'd you want ta' talk anyway?"

Kenji listened to the loner words and noticed that he had yet to give him is name. And at the mention of a fortune teller he wondered if that person really could tell him his fortune. Kenji scooted back some when the loner got and his face and started into his eyes. He saw a flicker of recognition pass over the loners face before it disappeared. When he asked where he would like to talk. Kenji thought for a moment.  There was an old abandoned mill around here. That would be a perfect place to find out some answers from the loner and to talk. "I will meet you at the old mill that is around here. we should be able to talk without being disturbed there." Kenji told the loner before leaving money on the bar and walking out. As he continue to walk a familiar scent filled his nostrils. 'No way, I thought he was dead' he thought to himself and made his way to the center of town.

The village

The loner sneered. Foolish peasants dealing with things they didn't understand. It was enough for him to cackle. He did, sending a rather menacing smirk in Kenji's direction. "See you later sweetie! It's a date!" He called, hair ruffled and his demeanor distinctively impolite. "Little shit's got the weirdest name. 'Hell does Kenji mean anyway?" He wondered, turning his attention back to his drink and tracing the rim with his fingers. "But then again, I'm named after the object of my affections." He muttered, propping his face up with a sloppy arm, eyes lazily looking up as the boy finally left and the bell on the door stopped it's incessant ringing. "Temptation and sin rules the minds of the wicked. May as well call it witchcraft for god's sake." He added, Indira now gone wherever things went when they abandoned the land of the living. Now he had to deal with villagers who spoke of things that escaped this grasps. A world or treachery and merciless fangs awaited them. It wasn't a pretty picture, and whatever this Kenji did, managed to garner the attentions of one. He couldn't even remember if he was the one who confronted the villager first or not. Would it be his fault some faceless peasant disappeared into the mist? Or would the foolish human use it's charms on him? He tilted his head back with another vibrating laugh, the beat growing into a hum. "Charms, huh? No use for earrings and rings and whatnot." And who knows what else Tarot used to brand his body? Shifting was the least of his worries when he was buried under a number of seals. But problems still resounded in his memories and mistakes that spilt blood were the hardest to forget.

He shifted to stand up, his drink finished, and throwing his money onto the bar. The clang resounding in his ears and leaving a sneer on his face. "Foolish humans... power is not something you have in this era." He whispered, a darkened gleam in his eye as he pushed past the tavern door. The bell ringing and the clatter of pebbles underfoot.
