The Clearing

Laura walks slowly into The Clearing. She looks at the statues and sits up against the angel statue. She gets her journal out of her black backpack she made. She gets a quill out and starts writing in her journal. As she is writing she starts to tear up a bit and then just sits there. She then looks up and starts admiring the clouds, still crying.

Vitani kept her eyes locked on a tree as if her life depended on it. A slow rustling sound made Vitani alert, but she didnt advert her gaze from the middle of the tree. A low growl vibrated in the depths of Vitani's throat as a new scent entered her nostrils. She then turned her head and looked at the angel statue Vitani was sitting near. She went silent as she saw someone sitting against the statue (Laura).

The clearing was one of the most beautiful places in the whole Crimson fang territory. Atleast Casper admired it alot. He enjoyed walking among the fragrant bushes and the ancient statues. The one he liked the most was the angel statue.
The king was slowly moving between the shadows ofthe night when he suddenly stopped. The place wasn't empty. Casper caught the scent of a clanmember and a stranger.
During the whole moving Crimson fang became a bit larger. Vampires whch they met on their jorney joined the clan and most of the the king didn't know personaly but knew their scent very well. And the one he caught few seconds ago wasn't from thiers. However he was sure that it was a vampire one.
The young man slowly approached the angel statue and caughed a little. As soon as he the intruder attemtion was caught the male smiled politely and began speaking.
"May I ask what are you, m'lady, doing onto Crimson fang's territory without permission?" His voice was calm and polite but not friendly. His face was rather soft, yet ithe boy clearly showed that he was not really happy to see someone unknown on his land.

Vitani's attention was caught as another scent followed by a male entered her smell and sight. She listened to his question before answering, "Im sorry," Vitani apologized, "I didnt relize this land was already claimed." Vitani felt stupid for not noticing the obvious scents she would have picked up earlier. She slowly walked up to the male and held out her hand, "My name is Vitani," She introduced herself before asking, "And you are?"

Laura sensed 2 people close to her. She got up, looked a little bit passed the angel statue and saw them talking. She picked up her pencil, colored pencils and journal quietly. She attempted to walk away before anyone could notice her. Then she accidently dropped her pencil on the concrete.

Vitani's head perked up as the sound of pencil on concrete was made. She looked back at the angel statue and saw the other female that was sitting against the angel statue was now up and attempting to walk away. Vitani forced her attention off the female and looked back at the male.

Casper's eyes followed the slow steps of the girl as she was getting near him. He carefully listened to her words, though he doubted that she didn't really notice the scent. After all it was obvious.
He payed a single attentin to the fighter who left them. It seemed like she was sad but with that, the king was going to cope with later.
The young man gently took Vitani's hand in his and raised it up on the level of his lips. Then he gave a polite kiss on the back of her palm. Casper let go of her hand and managed to smile a little before introducing himself. "Nice to meet you, Vitani. My name is Casper." he didn't mention he was the king of the clan and owner of the territory on purpose. After all it wasn't needed to reveal everything, at least not right now.

Vitani nodded as Casper introduced himself, "Well, Casper, if you'd like me to leave your territory, I will do so." She told him, waiting for Casper's reply. As Vitani was waiting, she glanced back to the trees and silently breathed in deeply and fixed the sweet scent of the place in her head. Vitani vowed to herself, if Casper wanted her to go, that she would never foolishly go into his territory again

Casper pierced the intruder with his deep blue eyes. He kept the polite smile on his face as he listened to the girl carefully. As king, the young man had to judge well what will be good for the clan and what will not be. Inthis case, knowing that a war had rised as more members he gained asbetter it was for him. After all, one army can't be formed by two or three creatures, right?
"Well, I will not let a stranger wander around my territory for sure. But there is another alternative we can discuss. Of course that have to happen infront of the queen. So if you don't mind, would you follow me into the mansion?" the dark haired boy made sure he explained the things quite understandable. The only thing he needed before setting off was one simple answer from Vitani.

Vitani looked at Casper and listened carefully. As he finished, She nodded slowly, "Okay, Im ready when you are." She told him. Vitani was little surprised at what Casper said, since she was in some situations like this one. Vitani showed no impatience or eagerness, just a respectful stance. She nodded and waited patiently for Casper to lead the way to whereever they were going to go. Vitani got one last glance around before giving her full and undivided attention to Casper.

Hearing the girl's answer, Casper only nodded and turned around. He slowly rised his head and lookedat the starry night sky. It was beautiful and it made his feel calm just for a second. The breeze was slowly playing with his fringe. His eyes were shining like the moon and to be honest he looked really handsome on the night light.
The king smiled even more as he heard his sister's toughts. He ran his hand across his neck and looked at Vitani. "Lets go." were his lastwords before he headed to the mansion.

~Mansion~

The first rays of the moon were trying to light up The Clearing. Luckily the thick branches prevented the place from direct light. Casper really enjoyed this place. It was beautiful, peaceful andquiet. Here he could stop thinking for all the problems he had to solve.
But today he was not planning on solving different issues in common with the clan. No, he wanted to spend some time with his beloved sister, to talk with her and discuss some important matter, which concerned only them and maybe the clan in the distant future.
The king suddenlystopped and looked at the statues. "All of them are so beautiful, but they can not compare with you, my dear Eliza." Finishing his last word, the young man looked into his fiancee's eyes. Even though, at times, she drove him out of nerves, Cas wouldn't give her place to any other girl. The king needed some time to realiste it, but after doing it, he felt somehow better, completed.
"So, my love, what is so important that you want to discuss with me? As I remember, you have sent me some insistent messages in the throne room." His tone was a bit sarcastic but not in a way that may offend his sister.

Eliza peered around the clearing, studying every beautiful movement of the branches, every leaf and flower high lighted by the little moonlight peeping through the trees. Eliza moved her hair, and a beam of moon light landed on her, illuminating her. (Like in the picture.) Her yellow eyes focused on Casper as he spoke, smiling gently. She blushed a little, not used to compliments from Casper. When he asked about her messages, her blush grew redder. "Nevermind that. It'd ruin the mood, we can discuss it later. Right now, I just want to enjoy this beautiful moment with you." She said kindly, smiling. She took a deep breath, then sighed quietly as her eyes searched the beautiful clearing.

Casper held his breath for a second. He took a step back, getting a metre or two away from his sister. He wanted to observe her from her head to her toes. The way that the moon light illuminated her inspired him. For the first time he felt lucky to have this opportunity to enjoy a moment with his fiancee.
Her answer was not something he liked, yet he continued smiling. "You just love teasing me, don't you?" he asked as he shook his head slowly.
Suddenly he grabbed her arm and pulled her closer. His hand ran down her back as the tips of his fingers gently touched her chin. His deep blue eyes were sparkling like lonely stars in the sky. The night breeze played with his dark brown hair as he got even closer to Eliza. And when he was just about to kiss her, he let go. The king took a step forward then looked back at the girl.
"Tck. Until my curiousity is not fed I won't give you a kiss." The young man winked at his future bride somehow teasingly before taking another step forward. "Let's go, my dear. The Clearing is not a small place, you know."

Eliza smiled brightly, she loved teasing him. When he pulled her close her cheeks flushed bright red. She gently closed her eyes, then he backed up. She looked up at him, confused. Then when he said that she frowned. She blinked a few times then followed after him. "If I told you you wouldn't want to kiss me." She said, sounding like a child. She twirled her hair on one finger and she looked at the ground.

Casper was moving slowly under the high tree branches together with his sister. He was still smiling, enjoying the silver ligh touching his pale face. The cold air filling his lungs made him fresh and ready for new challenges which for sure Eliza was going to serve him.
A quick glance enabled the king to see the queen's redish face and the way she played with her hair. She could be a big child at times, but that made the games more interesting, especially when Casper was winning them almost every time.
"Try me, little girl." his tone was quiet, yet daring. He really was interested in what she was about to say. Even if she refused, he was going to find a way to get what he wanted.

Eliza sighed, growling to herself a little. "You know, mom and dad were about our age when they had you. We should follow suit." She said, her face turning redder. "I found this baby squirrel today, and it kick started this idea for me. I name the squirrel Juliet, and she's in our room right now, I hope." She explained, still twirling her hair. She looked at the ground in embaressment.

The smile that made Casper's face soft slowly disappeared. The words his sister said came out like a thunder from clear sky. The king swallowed nerveously as he looked away for a second. 'A child...' he thought. It sure was a serious matter. The young man was not sure if he is ready nor if he is going to be a good father.
While thinking Casper heard the echo of a familiar howl. He recognized is as a call. A call that usually is used when a wolf is looking for mate. 'It seems like the dogs are having issues.' he thought. However that was something that did not concern him right now.
The dark haired boy stopped and looked at his fiancee. ''It's nice to have a pet, my dear. But..." the king seemed serious and also his face was quite cold. "Having children is a big responsibility, which I'm willing to take together with you." suddenly he smiled again, yet did not dare to look into Eliza's eyes. The only thing that he was thinking about was his newly made decisions. 'If I can handle a war, then why not kids? I hope I won't be sorry for this.' he thought to himself, aware of his sister's look. Casper stayed put and not a single emotion of his could be recognised. No wonder some of his clan mates called him stone-face at times.

Eliza looked up at him carefully. She processed his answer, but it didn't fit his face. She felt a little excited, but hid it. Suddenly she reached up and pinched one of his cheeks. "I knew you would be unhappy if I said it. You'd be smiling brightly with shining eyes right now if you were with this full force." She shook the hand pinching his cheek. "This face says uncertainty. I'm not having kids if you are uncertain right now. Don't try to fool me with a blank face, Casper. I've known you since I was born and I've learned your faces. I'm ready, but I'll wait for you as long as it will take. Children is something we don't just go, why not on. Children are, as you said huge responsibilities. They aren't something we just decide to have one day. Because in truth, I've been thinking about it since before our move. I will wait until you are certain." She said, finally releasing his cheek. She looked calm, looking around the clearing.

Casper looked straight into Eliza's golden ones. He smiled and slowly shook his head. "My dear, you don't know anything for me, yet." he said ironicly. That was the whole truth. His clan knew him the way he wanted. And he was showing only 3% of his personality to them. The other 77% were very well hidden, even from his siblings.
The young man listened to his sister carefully before taking her face in his hands. She seemed so little and fragile right now. His deep blue eyes were soft and he was still smiling lightly. "Eliza, I do want children. It's true I'm not quite sure if I will be a good father or not, but I do want. So, let's give it a try, ok?" The male slowly wrapped his hands around the girl, creating a gentle hug.
At least one good thing appeared on the horizon after the begining of the war. The king placed his lips on his fiancee's forehead letting his cold breath spill down her skin and tickle the lady a little.

Eliza sighed, melting into him. She hugged him back, shivering a little as his breath went down her neck. "You would be a great father." She whispered. She placed her ear on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. "Please Casper, don't put on a face around me. I want to know who my husband is." She said, looking at the ground.

Casper stood still. He slowly wrapped his hands around Eliza as he listened to her. Maybe she was right. maybe he was going to be a good father. He had a good example, but something deep inside him tempted him to show his best.
Suddenly the king took a step back and looked at his sister. His deep blue eyes pierced her. His fae was soft, but something made him look kinda cold. The young man placed his finger under his fiancee's chin and raised her head, making sure the girl would look him in the eyes. "It will be better if you know only the part I am showing you. The other is not meant for you, my dear."
Casper took a deep breath and smiled a little. He gently took the queen's hand in his and stepped forward. "I am sure there are better topics we can discuss during our lovely walk. Am I not right, Eliza?" his voice was rather calm than usual, like nothing could ruin that moment he was having with his sister.

Eliza smiled gently, but wasn't convinced. She wanted to know the true real Casper. "I will know the real you one day. I will" She whispered. She held his hand, taking a deep breath. She looked around, smiling. "This place is beautiful." She whispered.

Casper did not said anything. He knew that his sister will never give up, but the man was also a stubborn persona. He, for sure, won't show any sign of his other part. Actually no one really knew that 'other side'. His clan mates often saw him with a smile on the face and some nice attitude, which followed the king everywhere. However, Casper knew how to act infront of each member or creature he is communicating with.
"It truly is." he said quietly as he continued walking by his sister's side.
